Neighborly Senior Cafés are friendly gathering places for adults aged 60 and older in Pinellas County. Also known as the local Congregate Meal Program, Senior Cafés offer a relaxed way to enjoy lunch, conversation, and activities with others in your community.
Each café has its own personality, with activities that may include games, movies, karaoke, group exercise, outings, and special events. Whether you come for the food, the friendships, or simply a change of scenery, you are welcome here. Each location is a great way to learn about community resources.
Activities begin at 11 a.m., and lunch is served at noon. Transportation is available.
For family members, Senior Cafés can be a great option for a parent or loved one who would enjoy more connection, routine, and time with peers while staying active and independent.

Transportation available to our Adult Day Centers and Senior Cafes
Neighborly Senior Cafes offer adults 60 and older with a fun place to socialize and enjoy delicious cuisine. Along with a hot, nutritious meal, Neighborly offers participants informational programs, entertainment, and activities.
Sample Menus
Our meals provide at least 1/3 of the nutrition needs of an older adult.
This is about 600 calories, 30 g protein, 75 g carbohydrates and 20 g fat, 7 g fiber and less than 767 mg of sodium. The meals also provide adequate vitamins and minerals for older adults.

Find answers to common questions about the Senior Café program, including meals, locations, transportation, activities, and registration.
How is the cafe program different than Meals on Wheels?
The café program is for people age 60 and over who are not homebound. It’s a great place to meet new people and socialize.
What if I need transportation?
If you need transportation to attend a Senior Café, call 727-573-9444. Staff can help you complete a transportation application over the phone.
Once transportation is approved, the Site Coordinator will call you to schedule your first visit as a guest.
How much are the meals?
There’s a suggested contribution of $2 per meal.
Do you have activities?
Yes! All of our activities are provided by donations. We often play games, trivia, nutrition education, have exercise, music, dances, and field trips. Some sites provide transportation to the food pantry or the store at least once a month.

How do I register?
To join the Congregate Meals or Senior Café program, please call the main number 727-573-9444 to connect with a location nearest you. Staff will help you schedule your first visit as a guest.
During or after your guest visit, staff will schedule an assessment to complete your enrollment paperwork. After the assessment is completed, it may take 3–5 business days to activate your account in the system so meals can be ordered for you.
Most clients are scheduled to begin attending regularly about one week after their assessment is completed. If your account is activated sooner, the Site Coordinator may call you to schedule your first regular meal day earlier.
What is the Senior Café program in Pinellas County?
Neighborly Senior Cafés are Pinellas County’s Congregate Meal Program for adults age 60 and older. Senior Cafés offer lunch, activities, social connection, and access to helpful community resources in a welcoming group setting.
Can I attend as a guest before I am enrolled?
Yes. New or returning clients may attend as a guest while the enrollment process is being completed. However, clients may only attend as a guest up to three times.
Completing the assessment and enrollment process helps make sure meals can be ordered for you before your guest visits run out.
Are Senior Cafés connected to other community resources?
Yes. Neighborly Senior Cafés are a helpful connection point for adults aged 60 and older in Pinellas County. In addition to lunch, activities, and social time, guests may learn about other community resources, such as hurricane preparedness supplies, nutrition education, monthly supplemental groceries, and other local supports.
Availability may vary by location, program funding, and eligibility requirements. Site staff can share more information about what is currently available.
