Neighborly has been a leader in providing people 60 and older with hot, nutritious meals at their homes since its start in 1966 as one of the first federally funded Meals on Wheels programs in the nation.
Adults 60 and older in Pinellas County can enjoy a delicious lunch approved by a licensed dietitian and delivered fresh to your door Monday-Friday. Whether you are homebound and need a nutritious lunch or just want a break from the kitchen, Neighborly can provide you with a meal plan to fit your lifestyle.
Participants can also enjoy daily interaction with kind volunteers who deliver the meal to your door.
Meals Eligibility
Subject to Availablity
Individuals aged 60 and older who are homebound for illness, nutritional risk, isolation, or physical, emotional, or behavioral disabilities may be eligible for a home-delivered meal.
Meals are available for all Pinellas County residents, regardless of age.

Meals on Wheels Private Pay Program
At Neighborly Senior Care Network, we understand the importance of convenient and nutritious meal options, especially for those who may not have access to regular home-cooked meals. In Pinellas County, you can enjoy a delicious lunch approved by a licensed dietitian and delivered fresh to your door Monday–Friday. Meals on Wheels offers adults age 60+ the option of a subsidized meal, but you can also purchase meals directly without qualifying for Meals on Wheels. Whether you are homebound and need a nutritious lunch or just want a break from the kitchen, Neighborly can provide you with a meal plan to fit your lifestyle.
You can now purchase delicious meals! Your purchase allows us to take seniors off of the waiting list and serve more people in our community.
Important: To place an order, you must complete the Private Pay Meals on Wheels Agreement before making a payment.
Sample Menus
Our meals provide at least 1/3 of the nutrition needs of an older adult.
This is about 600 calories, 30 g protein, 75 g carbohydrates and 20 g fat, 7 g fiber and less than 767 mg of sodium. The meals also provide adequate vitamins and minerals for older adults.

What meals do you offer?
- All meals are nutritionally balanced, heart-healthy, and diabetes-friendly
- Options include daily hot meals or frozen meals delivered weekly, biweekly, or monthly
- Each meal includes a protein, starch, vegetables, fruit, and milk

Can I select my meals?
- Meals are provided on a fixed menu
- Individual meal choices are not available
- You may cancel a daily delivery for any meals you do not wish to receive
What are the elgibility requirements for funded meals?
- Age 60 and older
- Spouses of eligible participants
- Disabled children of any age
- Must be homebound
Who delivers the meals?
- All meals are delivered by background-screened individuals
- Most drivers are compassionate volunteers
How much do meals cost?
- Funding for subsidized meals is limited
- Call 727-573-9444 to schedule an assessment
- Suggested contribution of $2 per meal
- Private-pay frozen meals are available without an assessment

When are meals delivered?
- Daily hot meals: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–2:30 PM
- Frozen meals: Based on zip code, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
