Through Meals on Wheels, Neighborly Care Network delivers meals to nearly 1,600 homebound residents daily.
While a nutritious meal is of great importance to each of these clients, the most recurring comment is how much they look forward to seeing and conversing with the volunteer delivering it.
In 2009, Meals on Wheels volunteers contributed almost 60,000 hours delivering noontime meals to the frail and homebound. Their efforts are valued at $1.25 million.
