4th Annual Mayors for Meals

On March 18, mayors and other dignitaries delivered Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors in Pinellas County. They were part of the 4th Annual Mayors for Meals campaign, with mayors across the country delivering Meals on Wheels in their communities to help raise awareness of senior hunger.

This year, Neighborly was fortunate to have the following individuals respond to our call and help in this cause:

Mayor Rick Baker

        St. Petersburg
Council Member Wengay Newton St. Petersburg
Mayor R. B. Johnson Indian Rocks Beach
Shawn Foster District Dir. for U.S. Congressman Gus Bilirakis
David Flintom District Asst. to Florida Rep. Rick Kriseman
Mayor Dick Holmes South Pasadena
Commissioner Susan Latvala Pinellas County
Mayor Bill Mischler Pinellas Park
Vice Mayor Gigi Arntzer Largo
Mayor Andy Steingold Safety Harbor
Commissioner Mary Lynda Williams Safety Harbor
Commissioner Nadine Nickeson Safety Harbor
Mayor Michael Yakes Gulfport
Jimmie Day District Asst. to Florida Rep. Bill Heller

We appreciate the mayors, volunteers, and staff who made this event possible. Many Meals on Wheels clients were once again thrilled to be visited by our mayors and other dignitaries.
