5th Annual Mayors for Meals

On March 24, mayors and other dignitaries delivered Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors in Pinellas County. They were part of the 5th Annual Mayors for Meals campaign, with mayors across the country delivering Meals on Wheels in their communities to help raise awareness of senior hunger.

This year, Neighborly was fortunate to have the following individuals respond to our call and help in this cause:

Mayor Bill Foster

        St. Petersburg

Vice Mayor Michele King

Gulfport
Mayor Kathleen Peters South Pasadena
Council Member Wengay "Newt" Newton St. Petersburg
Jimmie Day District Asst. to Florida Rep. Bill Heller
David Flintom District Asst. to Florida Rep. Rick Kriseman
Council Member George Cretekos Clearwater
Commissioner Karen Seel Pinellas County
Mayor Bill Mischler Pinellas Park
Mayor Jimmy Johnson Seminole
Council Member Leslie Waters Seminole
Commissioner Mary Lynda Williams Safety Harbor
Kathryn Larkin Asst. to Rep. Janet Long

We appreciate the mayors, volunteers, and staff who made this event possible. Many Meals on Wheels clients were once again thrilled to be visited by our mayors and other dignitaries.
